PowerPulse news September 2024
New colleagues Jade and Wout
We are very happy that we can celebrate the expansion of our PowerPulse team with two new excellent colleagues. Over the past two years, we have doubled in personnel to 15 high-performing energy experts. Jade de Romsée and Wout Vandendriessche joined PowerPulse recently to advise and support a number of our 120 current clients in the ins and outs of the energy sector.
Jade joins PowerPulse after studies in international politics and general management, and 2 years at KPMG where she excelled in navigating through the Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSRD) requirements and other ESG developments.
Wout completed a study in business engineering and, before strengthening PowerPulse, worked for 4 years via Methis Consulting at ENGIE Marketing & Sales optimizing various internal processes where his last focus was to leverage the flexibility market for improving the EV-drivers value proposition.
We are very proud to have them on board and are looking forward to grow together.
Feel free to reach out to them for any energy-related guidance.
PowerPulse knowledge sharing in October
On 03/10, COGEN organises a masterclass on the energy markets in the framework of Collectief Duurzame Energie (CoDE) at the National Dispatching of Elia in Schaarbeek. Benoit Matthys will give the audience a clear insight into the Belgian electricity market by deep diving into the cost drivers for the electricity price. During the presentation he will give an outlook on the price trends on short and long term.
On 11/10, Voka Mechelen – Kempen sets up an educational morning on smarter management of the energy bill in Mechelen. Benoit Matthys will provide a better understanding of the energy markets and ways to control the capacity tariff. He will teach how to negotiate strategic energy contracts and explore decarbonization of the energy supply with green electricity and carbon accounting.
PowerPulse knowledge sharing in November
By good tradition, Flux50 organises a three day crash course on the energy transition from 19 to 21 November. With multiple stakeholders from different perspectives of the energy sector, a broad overview outlines the energy scene. Also PowerPulse is on board. On the third day, Jan Gilot will show the financial possibilities of industrial flexibility with several examples.
On 22/11, Voka organises an online information session on the emission trade system for road transport, buildings, and additional sectors (ETS2). Jan Gilot will guide you through the new legislation and the impact for the energy costs of your company.
