New colleagues on board: Eleonore Buisseret and Theo Desmedt
We are very pleased to announce the further expansion of our PowerPulse team with two new excellent colleagues. Eleonore Buisseret and Theo Desmedt joined PowerPulse the past month to contribute to the development of tailored, pragmatic solutions that help clients address their energy needs and support their transition toward a more sustainable future.
Eleonore has an academic background in sustainability and environmental management with two master degrees on Corporate Sustainable Management and on Environmental Sciences and Management. Before joining PowerPulse, Eleonore spent over two years at PwC, where she advised clients on sustainability strategy and compliance, with a particular focus on CSRD-related consulting and audit projects.
Theo recently strengthened PowerPulse as a Business Energy Consultant, bringing a strong academic background as a Business Engineer and a keen interest in energy and sustainability. Eager to grow in this dynamic environment, he is motivated to explore the challenges of the energy sector.
We are very proud to have them on board and are looking forward to grow together.

Event ‘Future of Energy Climate in the Industry’ organised by Enprove, Entras, and PowerPulse
On Tuesday 23 September, 65 industrial energy enthusiasts gathered in the magnificent setting of the Wintercircus to discuss the Future of Energy & Climate in the Industry.
With inspiring keynote speeches of An Beazar (Enprove), Remco De Boer (Studio Energie), Rafael Feito Kiczak (Elia), and Koen Schoors (UGent), the tone was set for a dynamic panel discussion with Jan Wauters (Joris Ide), Remco De Boer, Koen Schoors, and Katrien Even (PowerPulse) moderated by Jana Kerremans.
Discussion topics:
- industrial energy management,
- European energy policy and political dynamics,
- electrification and grid challenges
- economic logic behind industrial decision-making in Europe.
Key messages:
- Need for a reinforced grid to unable an accelerated energy transition for companies
- Gas and most likely nuclear will continue to play a role in the energy transition
- Call for a consistent policy with a tempering of regulation

- 21/10: At Energy Mission at Thor Park, it is all about ‘strategic energy parnterships’ with the focus on vision, decision and financing models, collaboration, innovation, and sustainability in a fast changing energy landscape. Katrien Even will explain all on how to navigate through volatile energy markets.
- 04/11: The “Forecasting 2026” Tuesday organised by Agoria will contemplate on how the most important market and cost evolutions will develop in 2026. The energy markets and costs will be stripped down by Benoit Matthys.
- 19/11: At the VOKA breakfast session for energy and environmental coordinators, Jan Gilot will share the progress of transposing European into Flemish legislation. Next, he will pay attention to the opportunities of flexibility in the energy system for companies.
This winter, PowerPulse will be contributing to VIVES/Agoria and Flux50 educations.
- Sustainable & secure energy management organised by VIVES, Odisee and Agoria will teach energy and facility managers the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of energy management for businesses, with a strong focus on sustainability and safety across the entire value chain. PowerPulse, together with Agfa, will provide the module on energy risk management strategy where diversification of energy assets and energy contracts with flexibility services will be clarified and demonstrated in detail.
- Group coaching for electrification for SME organised by Flux50, 2degNRG, and PowerPulse with the support of VLAIO and Fevia will provide a combination of practice based group sessions and one day of individual coaching on electrification opportunities, cost optimalisation, and future regulation for SME intending to make processes and installations sustainable.
