What opportunities does De Wever I offer for energy in industry?
On 25 February, Flux50, De Blauwe Cluster, and PowerPulse organised a webinar on the federal governmental agreement. Over 200 participants were brought up to speed with the plans of De Wever I on energy (Kim Verbruggen) and blue economy (Ann Overmeire and Romina Vanhooren). Jan Gilot highlighted the intentions related to energy for the industry. With the emphasis on emission free energy with competitive energy prices for industry and a stable supply, the current federal government aims to retain the competitive position of our industry and to grow the economy.

Challenges for sustainable heat supply in the food industry
PowerPulse got the floor at the RethinkEnergy4Food event organised by Flanders' Food and Flux50 on 20 March.
Insights in the trends of the gas and electricity markets to better understand the potential business case for investments in sustainable heat assets where provided by Pietjan De Brouwer and Jan Gilot. With volatile energy prices, flexibility is key. This flexibility creates financial opportunities.
With further inspiring talks of Ghent University, Witteveen+Bos, De Zuivelarij, Sweco, PropheSea, Biogas-E, and Uticon, it was an interesting and informative event on how the food industry can decarbonize its heat supply.
